Also, understand that your prospect will also give you an edge on knowing how to talk to them and what marketing message, marketing strategy, sales process and sales strategy you should use.The pre-requisite is that it's important for you thoroughly understand your business or your product. The last thing a prospect likes hearing when they are asking you questions is to hear nothing but fluff and lack of decisiveness.Keep in mind that these people trust you to be honest with them.Fail them in this and they will find out eventually.

It is also important to use a healthy dose of good customer service when it comes to talking to prospects.Make some time for them, allow them to call you on the phone so they can 'see' the real you.People will soon realize that if they can't get good customer service then the company isn't worth their time. This is a good practice to follow when dealing with any business in any industry.A company that is weak in customer service at the beginning of the relationship will simply get worse as time goes on.

If you try to understand what your prospect wants, needs, and desires you have a good chance of getting them to buy from you or to do business with you.Dont forget that any business transaction, regardless of the size or of the companies involved, ultimately comes down to an understanding between two human beings. All of the basic principles of human communications apply. In order to succeed in business, you need to understand that your success will ultimately depend on your ability to communicate honestly and accurately with your prospects.
